Activities
The project runs for two years (2009-2010).
1) During the first year, information on the situation of violence and harassment against women at work is collected in each of the participating countries. Furthermore existing good practices are identified and collected and then discussed in focus groups and/or individual interviews, organised in each partner country with the involvement of women suffering from mental health problems as a result of violence and harassment at work. From these examples the "best" practices are selected on the basis of predefined quality criteria.
2) During the second year, a Booklet containing general information about the link between violence and harassment against women at work and mental health problems is published.
-
A poster is created as part of the awareness raising campaign, illustrating the importance of preventing violence and harassment against women at work as well as mental health problems that result from it.
-
The awareness raising tools - poster, booklet and database/website with good practices – are translated in all the project languages and in English.
-
Each participant country organises a press-conference to launch the awareness raising campaign. The awareness raising tools are disseminated among (women) employees via the trade unions, job centres, NGOs, health and social services, European and national employers' organisations. The tools are also disseminated in public spaces in order to reach the general public.
-
The project ends with a European press-conference combined with the final conference, taking place on 7 December at the European Parliament. The conference is hosted by Milan Zver MEP. On this occasion, the outcomes of the project are presented as well as the project's policy recommendations which intend to stimulate a debate at the national and EU level. The dissemination of the project’s outcomes is ensured through the collaboration with the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP) and other European level organizations (ETUC, Business Europe, European Women's Lobby, European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, the Social Platform); further mainstreaming is provided by the European Disability Forum and the European Public Health Alliance.
